MÉROU - BORN DEEP

The large grouper (Mérou in French) is a diver's dream. It is a fascinating fish, emblem of many concepts common to underwater activities: depth, calm, strength, beauty. Grouper is an obsession and capturing it with a glance, a camera or a speargun is an ambitious challenge. We always promote ethical fishing, respect for the sea and all its creatures and this is why we let ourselves be inspired by the sea.

The Mérou brand was born in Naples in 1998 , from the union between passion for the sea and technical preparation on materials. It immediately specialized in the production of Neoprene and Carbon products, appreciated above all for their essentiality and functionality, so much so that they became a point of reference in the sector of underwater activities and in particular for spearfishing .

La Mérou was among the first companies in Italy to design carbon blades for Freediving in the early 2000s; the intuition came from the know-how of the Founder Valerio Tucci, on the strength of an important experience in the production of composite materials for the motorcycle sector. Carbon blades have become a necessary tool for improving sporting performance, so much so that they would soon have been irreplaceable not only for agonists.

Over the last few years the company has dedicated itself to supporting the underwater and maritime units of the police forces , civil and military bodies of the Italian Republic in the supply of diving equipment (wet suits, dry suits, gloves, shoes, bags, etc.).

Mérou – Born Deep was born in 2022: the historic brand evolves, with the desire to innovate and make a difference in a sector driven by boundless passion for the sea and the activities connected to it. The new project involves the launch of an increasingly advanced carbon fin and the opening towards all water sports.

Mérou Marine and Mérou service , active in the nautical sector in the production of PVC tubulars, are part of the group.
